Nicotine pouches are small portion pouches that are placed between the upper lip and the gum. They contain no tobacco leaf, but rather plant fibers, nicotine, humectants and flavorings. Colloquially they are often called "snus", although snus in the strict sense refers to a tobacco product from Sweden.
The difference from snus
Classic snus contains ground tobacco. Nicotine pouches — also sold as "White Pouches", "All White" or "Nicotine Pouches" — contain no tobacco. The product range in this shop consists of nicotine pouches; which type an item is is stated on every product page under Product type.
How a pouch is used
The pouch is taken out of the can and placed under the upper lip. It stays there without chewing or swallowing. After use it goes into the lid of the can, which most brands design as a container for this purpose, and then into the general waste.
How varieties differ

- Format — Slim, Regular, Mini or Large. Determines how the pouch sits under the lip, see Slim or Regular?
- Moisture — dry pouches release more slowly and run less, moist ones release faster.
- Flavor — from Mint and Citrus to Berry and Fruit to Liquorice and Coffee.
